Correction: Robert Benchley wasn’t the author of “Jaws”. That was his grandson…Peter.
The lineage:
Robert Benchley…the great humorist, film comedian, theatre critic. Died in 1945.
Son was Nathaniel…a well respected author of many many novels and kids books. One of his books was made into the movie, “The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming”
His son was Peter…of “Jaws” and other fame, who recently, alas, passed on.

Right you are, Robert… my mistake. Peter Benchley was on my mind because I’d recently heard about his passing. The attribution has been duly corrected. Thanks!
